THE DERMIE STORY

Quite simply a "Dermie" is a nickname for car park directly out the front of any venue.

A number of years ago when I was a little tacker, I was standing in the queue at Metro (the equivalent these days is Retro) and out the front of the venue were some portable 'A' frame "no standing signs". One would assume that this is for a particular emergency reason but no..as i was standing there shivering in the Melbourne Winter, a red Ferrari pulls up, the bouncers scurry around and remove the no standing signs, the driver parks and gets out and heads into the club...no less than the blonde-mullet of Dermie Brereton.

In 2008 a challenge has been set. The Challengers must meet the aut specs (authorised specifications) to record an official entry. Here are the challenges:

To get a photo with a celebrity. Most famous celebrity wins.
To get a photo with a look-a-like. Best look-a-like wins.
To get a photo of a dermie. The closest car park to the busiest place wins.

To submit a photo: email mr.scotedwards@gmail.com with a brief story relating to it.
I will post every photo and leave it up to everyone to judge it.

Its simple.

Some rules:
The photo must be taken in 2008.
Person must be in the photo with the celebrity.
Celebrity photo entries not valid if it was organised through work or you know the Celebrity.
The look-a-like must be of someone that all the challengers know.
The Dermie photo must include the car with the destination in the background.


The winner gets a date with Twinkles dog Oscar.
